You need to keep in mind that appliances sometimes need to be replaced, and panels prepared for your old one may not fit to your new appliance even tough the sizes are the same.

• Clever storage solutions: Pantry pull-outs, hidden appliance garages, and smart corner solutions are becoming standard. Thinking about how you use the kitchen will help you a lot with navigating around these solutions. Do you work (kids do homework) on your kitchen island? Then a pop-up outlet may be crucial. A charging statin drawer hides messy cords and devices. Do you find a spice rack or spice drawer more comfortable to use?  Functionality is key!

•  Thin Profile Countertops: Using 1 and ¼ inch-thick material for the kitchen is very common. We were using mitered edges a lot for an even thicker look for the countertops. But this year especially the marbles being on the rise we will see more ¾ inch materials. Thinner countertop profiles create a sleek, modern, and minimalist aesthetic. In a more practical sense, thin materials weigh less. This will ease the process of designing support systems and securing the stone when used in horizontal surfaces.

• Moving from polished to honed and leathered finishes: High-gloss surfaces are being replaced by honed, velvety stone finishes that exude quiet luxury and refinement. The matte texture softens light, enhances natural veining, and brings out the depth and character of the stone, creating a rich, tactile experience.
